I Know My Heavenly Father Loves Me

I've actually been a member of the Mormon Church my whole life, but
was truly converted when I received my own revelation in 1994.
I had just turned 19 and had been married for only a few months. I
was inactive and my new husband was not a member. We had been
married for just 1 month (I was still 18) when our first child was
born prematurely. He was beautiful, but not fully developed and only
weighed 1 lb 6 oz. So tiny.
When he passed away 2 hours after his birth we were devastated. We
were both quite young and inexperienced in dealing with this level
of grief. The overwhelming questions on my mind were: Why? Was this
necessary for my growth? So, one night I decided to ask in prayer
those very questions, not really believing myself worthy of an
answer.
I know my Heavenly Father loves me because immediately upon asking I
received in my mind the clearly spoken word, "YES"! Knowing that
this was essential to not only myself but my future family was just
the medicine I needed.
Though I still faltered along the way, I returned to Church and my
husband was eventually baptized. He is now a member of the bishopric
and we have welcomed 6 more children into our lives.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true! I can
testify of that wholeheartedly because my Father in Heaven loved me
enough to speak peace to my heart when nothing else could.
