"We
Are a Happy Family and Love
the Church"
By Sean and Laurie Lewis
Sean was working in a blood center in
Houston, Texas one day when the Westfield Ward in the Houston area
came in to give blood. The missionaries (elders) were there and
started talking to Sean.
He then read the Book of Mormon and joined the
church (1995). In spring of 1996, Sean decided to go to college and
that is when he first saw me (Laurie) and as he said, “Wow, what a
hot babe.”
We had computer lab at the same time
and I always said hello to him even though I didn’t know his name.
One day, my sister wanted to go to the computer lab and work on her
project there.
So, I took her to the school with me.
After a while of lab work, I got up to go to the restroom and came
back to get my sister so that we could go home.
Later that night
when I got home from work, my sister said that Sean called. I then
asked, who’s Sean? She then said, “The guy from the computer lab.” I
then said, “You didn’t!” At that very moment, the phone in my
bedroom rang at 11:30pm.
I answered the phone and it was Sean.
We talked for a while and then we started dating. January of 1997,
Sean and I moved to Albuquerque, NM. That summer of 1997 the bishop
in Bear Canyon Ward at the time married us.
Two weeks after we were married, I
was taking the discussions and became a member that August. March of
1999, we had our first son (Micah) in Albuquerque., NM. When our little
Micah was 18 months, we moved back to Houston, Texas.
We had our 2nd son (Drew) when Micah
was 2.5 years old. We were sealed in the Houston Temple October
2002. Since then we have had 2 more boys (Alec and Noah). As of now
(March 2007), our Micah turned 8 and is now joining the scouts and
will be baptized in April 2007. We are a happy family and love the
Church.
